Prophylactic Tactic

So I was wandering about aimlessly over at Craftster when I stumbled onto this.......

He's cute and innocent looking right? He is actually a condom dispensing robot. I saw this and immediately thought of my friend Morgan. She and her boyfriend have bought a house in Missouri and will be moving in together within the next couple of weeks. I am so making this as a house warming gift for them! Click the picture of the robot and it will take you to the tutorial so that you too can make your very own love machine!

Well How 'Bout That!!

Where have I been? Apparently the yarn mecca has been right in my backyard this whole time!! Both Deneen and Elizabeth have discovered their own yarn dealers and have been very satisfied with their dealings. Turns out both places are only about 15 minutes from where I grew up and still visit often. Who knew?!?!

Operation Boobalicious Was A Success!!

Nathaniel's home!! We picked him up at 4 o'clock this morning!! Geof was so good about getting up, I think it was because he was excited to see Daddy's truck...and Daddy, too of course!! Nathaniel has to leave out Monday morning and he'll be gone for 3 weeks. So since he won't be here for Father's Day we went ahead and gave him his gift. I haven't seen him laugh so hard in a long time. He got a big kick out of it and said that it definitely had to go in the truck!
I've started on a shrug for myself....gasp. Come to think of it this is the second thing I've crocheted for myself since I learned how. The first was a hanging plant holder thingy. Things are progressing slowly because my hands are starting to swell now. It's hard to explain to anyone because the symptoms change almost daily. The tops of my hands are swelling now and I had to take my wedding ring off because that finger is effected now, too. If things get worse I may see a doctor. Who knows. That's all for now, I'm off to enjoy my husband's company. G'night!!

Boob Job Update

Nathaniel's boobie pillow is nearing completion. All that is lacking is about 3/4 of the trim. I'm very pleased with it. I found some more realistic colors so they aren't alien boobs. I'll post a pic when I can, I may dust off the old webcam and fire it up because I'm eager to share this beauty!!

Baaa, Dude!!

Which flock do you follow?

this quiz was made by alanna

Apparently, I'm a hippy sheep eating grass instead of smokin it. And for all you narcs out there I do not ingest any illegal substances...anymore. Thanks to Deneen for the sheep quiz. Peace out, man.

Aarrgghhh!!

Damn it, I want to knit!! Don't get me wrong, I love my crochet but when it comes to clothing I think knitted fabrics just look cleaner. My mom taught me to knit many moons ago but I could never get my tension right or something because the ends of my rows were very loose. Plus she only taught me one stitch. She forgot how to cast off (is that the word?) so I didn't learn that either. Needless to say I have zero finished knitted works. She taught me to crochet (granny squares) in much the same way, but I picked that up a lot faster and taught myself the other stuff by reading a lot of books and surfing the web(changing colors, finishing off, different stitches, etc). I've tried reteaching myself to knit from books but I'm not having much success.

WARNING: Tittie-liciousness Ahead!!

{The idea for the latest project on my hook...click the picture for the pattern}
In an effort to keep the home fires burning whilst my husband is away, I have decided to make him a boobie pillow to remind him of what awaits his return home. The idea came from a link given in a post at Crochetville (thanks, Kymberlina). I don't have any semi realistic colored yarn on hand, so I guess I'll have to make him some alien boobs.
