UGH!! That's all I have to say about it...well, almost. I went yarn shopping today which is usually a joyous occasion. But this trip was all about buying for my yarn swap partner. I didn't realize how much work is involved. Granted it's pleasurable but kinda hard. I have no trouble shopping for myself. My partner requested yarns in purples and yellows. I thought it would be a piece of cake...ha! Apparently Michael's and AC Moore would rather carry fall colors instead of spring. The spring colors they did have made me want to vomit all over myself! I did manage to get everything I needed but what I have isn't as spectacular as I would like for it to be. I really want my partner to be pleased with what I picked out. I still have the receipt so we'll see. I did have fun fondling all the pretty yarn!
A few weeks ago my husband bought this for me...
I didn't even ask for it but I've been thinking of picking one up myself. I swear sometimes he can read my mind! I don't have the amount of yarn in the colors I'd like to make it, but I've decided to use up some of my stash on a practice run. I would like the practice and my son could use a new blanket. So far I'm about 3 blocks in and I really like how quickly things have been going. Of course I haven't hit the complicated blocks yet.We awoke to snow on the ground this morning so I know exactly what I'll be doing today!! HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!!!!recently updated:

You like to yarn shop like I like to grocery shop, presumably because you love crochet and I love to cook. Funny how that works out, isn't it?
Hi! That book seems to be a popular one. I keep seeing it on journals and in the stores. I bought one about 99 different dishcloth patterns. Really nothing more than just squares if you think about it. I wanted the practice of doing something different with the stitches I already know. You are lucky to have a hubby that pays attention. Mine still calls what I do "knitting"! Sheila
